Club Statement - 18th January 2012
Prior to the Colwyn Bay game, Steve Lynch issued his intentions to concentrate more on the social club side of Eastwood Town. Steve has vast experience in this field and is eager to devote more time towards restructuring our social club but he will also continue to safeguard the financing of the football team.
With this in mind Steve has tasked that a management team/committee be set up. The primary function of this team would be the administration and matchday running of the football side of Eastwood Town. The team will be working with interested parties to reduce current costs and improve income into the club so that Eastwood Town can continue beyond our diamond year in 2013
It is hoped that very soon, an open meeting can be arranged with at least Steve, Paddy and John in attendance. The club hopes that everybody concerned about “The Badgers” will attend and raise their points with us. The intentions regarding the future running of both the football and social side of the club will be discussed at the meeting. Paul Braithwaite, our website editor has been tasked with arranging a suitable date for this meeting. More details of the meeting will be published here
Notts Senior Cup
The game against Sutton Town AFC has been arranged for Tuesday 7th February. Kick Off is 7:45pm
John Ramshaw Statement
Dwelling on improvements but disappointments over the the festive period, John has said that his squad is now looking far more developed since he took over the reigns and is confident that a victory is not too far away. John added that with the exception of loan players, any new signings are all on non-contract, pay as you play terms.
John would also like to place on record a big thank you to goalkeeper Kyle Clancy who as a big favour signed for The Badgers as emergency cover just in case the on going negotiations with James Severn and Ian Deakin did not materialise. Even though James was recalled back to Derby County, the signing of "Deaks" was completed in time for the New Years Day game. This now leaves Ian and young Jake Want fighting for the number 1 shirt.
Re-arranged Game
The away game against Droylsden has been re-arranged. It will now be played on Tuesday 24th January 7:45pm kick off
Blue Square Premier Football on TV
