The A1 exit at Wetherby has now been permanently closed (many Route Planners have not yet been updated for the closure).
To access the A661 towards Harrogate, it is now necessary to exit the A1 at the A659 junction signposted Tadcaster/Otley/Wetherby. Take the 1st exit off the roundabout signposted Wetherby A168. At next roundabout take the 3rd exit, following signs for Wetherby A168. Travel up the new link road parallel to the A1. At the next roundabout go straight ahead (2nd exit) signposted Town Centre with the Ramada Jarvis Hotel on the left.
Immediately after crossing the River Wharfe, turn left at the mini roundabout signposted Harrogate. Continue to proceed through Wetherby on the A661.
Go through the village of Spofforth, bearing right at the Castle pub. At the next roundabout go straight ahead, passing the Kestrel pub on the left.
Go straight ahead at the first traffic lights with Sainsbury's on the left. At the next lights, go straight ahead with the Woodlands pub on the left and a BP garage on the right.
The Wetherby Road ground is 300 yards on the right.
